The Centropolis Residential Complex in Brno

In less than three years, a modern urban palace has risen in Brno. The mixed-use Centropolis building offers retail units, office space, and a total of 110 apartments across eight floors, with an underground car park below. A peaceful green relaxation area is tucked away in the enclosed inner courtyard. The building was approved for use this spring and is now gradually coming to life as new tenants move in.

“Centropolis represents the modern face of Brno. It has transformed a neglected site right in the city centre into a beautiful place to live and work. It’s the kind of urban project that combines high-quality architecture, functionality and environmental responsibility,” says Jaromír Baláž, Managing Director of JB Stavební, the main contractor, which has been part of the SWIETELSKY Group since 2018. “Centropolis is already our next successfully completed project for the developer Properity—we’ve become a well-coordinated team over the years.”

The investor places strong emphasis on sustainable construction across its projects. That is why Centropolis, for example, uses a heat pump system that minimises the building’s energy demand, reduces greenhouse gas emissions, and—most importantly—cuts energy costs. We’re pleased to see more like-minded investors entering the market.
