Work on the construction of the navigation lock Rohatec/Sudoměřice on the Baťa Canal is continuing.
In order to excavate the construction pit for the future new navigation lock, a temporary bypass of the Radějovka stream was created. This helped to divert water during the floods at the turn of the year, so the construction was not flooded. The construction pit of the navigation lock is currently already bordered by sheet piles. The foundations of the first of two economic bridges, which will be newly built, are also beginning to take shape.
The construction is being carried out by the consortium My Swieteláci from the company Dopravní stavby MORAVA and Metrostav DIZ for the Directorate of Waterways of the Czech Republic, funded by SFDI.
