Modernization of the Kojetín–Přerov Railway Line

15.09.2025

The modernization of the railway line from Brno to Přerov has entered another phase, which will significantly increase transport capacity and reduce travel times.

On the 17 km long section between Kojetín and Přerov, we will build a second track, eliminate all level crossings, and install the European train control system ETCS. As a result, the track speed will increase to up to 200 km/h, making this section part of the Czech high-speed rail network.

The completion of the project is planned for 2028. Until then, we at Swieteláci will modernize the railway superstructure and substructure, completely reconstruct the Kojetín station including the construction of a new station and technology building, and build parking lots, underpasses, bridges, overpasses, and even part of the city bypass.
