Since December of last year, the newly constructed left bank cycle path between Nymburk and Poděbrady has been fully operational.
As part of its construction, a completely new unique footbridge made of composite fiberglass was built, which spans the Old Elbe. In case of floods, it can be quickly dismantled due to its weight and material.
The completion of the cycle path and especially the new footbridge, which diverted pedestrians and cyclists from the busy section of the bridge, significantly alleviated traffic in the city center and increased the safety of all road users.
In addition to the new section, the original route of the cycle path has also undergone a complete renovation, including the underlying layers.
