For eight months, we built a 3 km long cycle path along the Bělá River from the Pelhřimov locality of Polní Dvůr to the village of Vokov.
The cycle path will ensure greater safety for pedestrians and cyclists, allowing them to avoid the very busy road II/112. It will also offer beautiful nooks in the immediate vicinity of Pelhřimov.
For colleagues from the Vysočina region of the Transport Construction EAST division, thevery narrow, waterlogged, and marshy terrain was a significant challenge, which was difficult to traverse in several places even for heavy construction machinery, complicating our work.
On Saturday, April 13, the ceremonial handover, blessing, and opening of the construction took place, attended by representatives of the municipality and many local residents. In cooperation with the city, the Fire Rescue Service of the Vysočina Region, the Czech Police, the Red Cross, Focus Vysočina, and the Czech Fishing Union we prepared a fun and educational afternoon for all big and small visitors, along with a communal grilling of sausages.
