In Hodonín, we have started work on the expansion of the public marina for recreational boats. The project will double the capacity for small vessels and bring modern infrastructure that will support the development of water tourism in the region.
We will build a solid 47-meter pier, to which four floating pontoons will be attached. These will allow for the mooring of up to eight boats. We will also create relaxation terraces, a stay staircase, and a new riverbank edge, and we will modify the adjacent slope, including a staircase for the rowing club. The marina will be equipped with electrical connections controlled by the port card of the Czech Republic's Waterways Administration.
The expansion of the marina is a crucial step in the development of water infrastructure and the extension of the navigability of the Baťa Canal towards Hodonín. Thanks to the connection to the Baťa Canal through the new lock Rohatec–Sudoměřice, Hodonín will become a significant hub for water tourism. The modern marina will revitalize the Morava River and become part of the daily life of residents as well as an attractive destination for visitors from both the Czech and Slovak Republics.
The investor of the construction is the Waterways Administration of the Czech Republic
