Construction within the Gobi Exhibition at Prague Zoo

12.09.2024

For half a year now, you can visit the new Gobi exhibition at Prague Zoo, where you will see Przewalski's horses and other animals from Asian semi-deserts and steppes.

Przewalski's horses are iconic animals of Prague Zoo – they have been kept here since 1932 and have significantly contributed to their rescue from extinction. Their orange footprint is also featured in the zoo's logo.

As part of the new Mongolian exhibition, we built stables and enclosures for Przewalski's horses, a pavilion for small mammals and reptiles, aviaries for long-haired felines, and typical Mongolian ovo mounds.

One of the main requirements was that all buildings should evoke the impression of the Mongolian desert landscape. Come and judge for yourself how we succeeded!
