The construction of the Central Bohemian section of the D7 highway between the grade-separated interchanges of Knovíz and Slaný-west is progressing rapidly. A year after the start of work, clear results are visible in the landscape. Two new lanes are being built on the 6.6-kilometer-long section, onto which traffic from the existing road I/7 will gradually be transferred. This road will then undergo reconstruction, and together a full-fledged four-lane D7 highway will emerge – a faster, safer, and more capacious connection between Prague and the northwest of Bohemia.
This section is being implemented by the company D7 Knovíz – Slaný, SWIETELSKY – HERKUL.
